Kuala Lumpur, 7th July 2018: The Chef’s Funride was flagged off at 7.30 by DPM Dr. Wan Azizah who is also the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development along with Finterra Executive Chairman Haji Mazlan Ahmad and MD Mr. Satesh Khemlani. Organised by Yayasan Generasi Malaysia and supported by Malaysian Royal Police, DBKL and National Sports Council the 17km ride closed several key roads to over a thousand riders that included chefs and the public. The theme of the program was to raise funds for charity to support chefs with health and financial problems in the country.
Over 20 Finterrans, that included international and local developers, enthusiastically cycled their way around a clear fresh morning carrying the theme of a social solution for all, based on the blockchain technology they work in. The company is expected to go ICO in September and involved in developing open source blockchain technology attracting fintech, banking, Islamic finances etc. The CEO Mr. Hamid said, “It’s an honour to participate in a small way in charity that is in line with our concern to show community that we care about supporting healthy lifestyle. We look forward to attending the event next year.” It echoed the DPM’s message to the riders to maintain healthy lifestyle and be regular. The event is set to be held annually. Later all the riders were given participation certificates and awarded medals. Finterra supports the cause and became a sponsor.
