KUALA LUMPUR, April 26, 2018 – Finterra, which prides itself on the world’s first “Social Solution for Blockchain”, won the 2018 award for Blockchain Technology Excellence at the Global Responsible Business Leadership Awards. The Singapore-based financial technology company Finterra has developed a platform that uses digital ledger technology, or blockchain, to create “smart contracts” that would be tied to specific waqf projects.
Asia Pacific CSR council and the Institute of Sustainability, the leaders in corporate social responsibility and corporate sustainability, today announced the winners of its annual Global Responsible Business Leadership Awards, including HSBC, Sharp and Finterra. Winners were announced at the Asia Pacific CSR forum in Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre, Malaysia.
Following the successful ceremony in 2017, the award recognises leaders in CSR and corporate sustainability leadership giving them a competitive advantage that demonstrate sustainability and sustainable procurement excellence and are driving progress around the globe.
The award creates a network of professionals committed to furthering the sustainability agenda Globally especially in Malaysia. These winners also serve to be benchmarks and exemplar of sustainable business practices to other organisations.
